Question Tags
1. Question Tags คือ ประโยคคำถามอีกรูปแบบหนึ่ง
ซึ่งจะนำหน้าด้วยประโยคบอกเล่าแล้วลงท้ายด้วยประโยคคำถามแบบ yes/no question อย่างย่อ โดยใช้เพียงกริยาช่วย + n’t แล้วตามด้วยประธานเท่านั้น
Example: He is always late, isn’t he?
เขามาสายเป็นประจำไม่ใช่หรือ
He isn’t always late, is he?
เขาไม่ได้มาสายประจำไม่ใช่หรือ
2. จุดสังเกตคือ หากประโยคหน้า question
tags เป็น Positive หรือ affirmative เราจะใช้ question tags ติดรูป not ตามหลังกริยาช่วยและหากประโยคด้านหน้า question tags เป็น negative เราจะไม่ติดรูป not ใน question tags อีก
Example: He is always late, isn’t he? ประโยคหน้าเป็น Affirmative ส่วนของ tags จึงต้องติด not
He isn’t always late, is he? ประโยคหน้าเป็น negative ส่วนของ tags จึงไม่ต้องติด not
3. หากประโยคหน้า question tags ไม่มีกริยาช่วย คือเป็น present
simple หรือ past simple เราจะใช้ do, does หรือ did ในส่วนของ tag
Example: You know him well, don’t
you?
คุณรู้จักเขาดีไม่ใช่หรือ
They went to town yesterday, didn’t they?
พวกเขาไปในเมืองเมื่อวานไม่ใช่หรือ
4. ประธานที่ใช้ในส่วนของ tag จะเป็น ประธานสรรพนาม I, you, we, they, he,
she, it หรือ there
Example: These tourists speak English,
don’t they?
*** ส่วน tag ที่ เป็นรูป ปฎิเสธของ I และ v.to be ใช้ aren’t I? เสมอ เช่น I’m your friend, aren’t
