2)
1.
คำนามที่อาจสร้างมาจากคำกริยาได้โดยเติม er ท้ายคำกริยา ถ้ามี e อยู่แล้วให้เติม r ได้เลย และจะมีความหมายว่า ผู้ หรือ
นัก เช่น Paint ทาสี – Painter ช่างทาสี, teach สอน – teacher ผู้สอน (ครู)
2.
คำยกเว้น คำนามต่อไปนี้ให้เติม ist เช่น type พิมพ์ดีด – typist พนักงานพิมพ์ดีด, tour ท่องเที่ยว – tourist นักท่องเที่ยว
3.
คำนามที่มีจากคำคุณศัพท์ (adjective) ให้เติม –ness มักจะมีความหมายว่า การ หรือ ความ
เช่น good ดี – goodness ความดี, sweet หวาน – sweetness ความหวาน, happy มีความสุข – happiness ความสุข
4.
ให้จดจำคำนาม 4 คำดังนี้ high สูง – height ความสูง, wide กว้าง – width ความกว้าง, deep ลึก – depth ความลึก, long ยาว – length ความยาว
